Family Fun and the Horse Show
In July we generally take a few of our young horses to a local show and compete in the events. This year we took our horses Venture, Nixon, Wage, Trooper, Torbruk in the hunter/ jumper competitions. All coming away with some wins or top placings. We also had a young rider up (Calla Martin 13 yr old junior rider) who was test riding a couple of our horses. It was a really enjoyable day, as all the horses and riders all did very well. Its is always good for exposure to take these younger horses away from home, around new people, obsticules, horses, etc.
It was also nice as we had some of our youngest family members also enjoying and competing in the horse show. Alyssa and her horse Diamond, Kayla and Destiny, and Cole and Nixon (also rode by Calla in the jumping classes), enjoyed a few wins in the kids classes. Its great to see how well these Trakehners and our horses have been doing for all ages of riders! We look foward to next year!
